Color Me Productive

Not too many people take this into account when designing an office, but color and the energy it emits does have a significant effect on the way we work. Your company or your BPO company colors might make a beautiful logo, but if the color combination doesn't promote productivity, you might want to re-think your designs. So what are good colors to work with? And what do each of them mean?

Know the difference between cool and warm tones

This is no secret. I think a lot of us learn this early in life. But just to refresh your memory, the cool tones are the ones closest to the earth. Calming tones like deep blue, light blue, blue, deep green, violet and the like. Warm tones on the other hand are those that reflect the sun – red, orange, yellow are among the many tones.

Productivity boosters

If you need to boost energy, then you're better off with bright striking colors that will awaken the senses.

What do some of the colors mean?

Still having trouble deciding which ones to pull together? Well, this short list might be of help:

Orange – it go in two directions. Orange is a color that's often used by food brands to increase apetite. There's something juicy and good about it, and yet there is also that refreshing and calming feeling it gives.

Purple - it's a good mix of red and blue. Both very extreme colors on the spectrum. But it suggests luxury and can emit peacefulness when in a softer / lighter shade

Yellow – classic attention getter.
It gives you the feeling of home and yet it communicates a feeling of abundance . It's also a good color for focus.

Blue – It's the color of the sky and it's relaxing. Blue is expansive and it also encourages communication.

Remember, next time you need to boost your productivity, it could simply mean finding that unique space where the colors are more exciting or the opposite, relaxing.
